Post report remedial works
Location: Pochin Trade Counter - Stourbridge
Contract Duration: 2 Days

On site with our engineers in the process of replacing the very old and potentially dangerous Distribution Board at one of our key clients Trade counters.
After carrying out an Electrical Installation Condition Report and recording an Unsatisfactory outcome due to high Earth fault loop impedance values obtained concluded that the existing protective devices are not effective, It was advised that the switchgear was in need of upgrade. The client arranged to have a new 4-Pole Isolator fitted by the DNO (Western Power Distribution) prior to the day of our upgrade, this enabled us to safely de-enrgise the incoming supply and remove the existing board and replace with a Hager 125A 6 way Type B commercial Distribution board fitted with BS 61009 30mA Type B and C curve RCBO devices and BS 60898 Type C and D Curve miniature circuit breakers.
The main prority was to get the sub board in the office back on line to allow the trade counter to be off line for as limited amount of time as possible, The Office board was also replaced the following day with a Main switch Type A board fitted with indvidual BS 61009 Type C curve 30mA RCBO devices.
The corrective actions listed in the EICR were also completed and an EIC issued to cover the works and update the status of the previously 'Unsatisfactory' report to 'Satisfactory'.
